Welcome to the Winona County Veterans Services Office
About
The Winona County's Veterans Services Department is responsible for assisting veterans and their dependents in securing information and benefits from the Federal and State government.
Services
The staff of the Veterans Service Office is available to assist veterans and their dependents with claims with the US Department of Veterans Affairs, apply for VAMC health care, apply for benefits that may be available through the MN Department of Veterans Affairs. We also will assist military retirees and their dependents with TRICARE claims.
Veterans and their dependents have a wide variety of benefits available to them.
Getting Started
For most benefits, you will need to provide military personnel records. You can receive free copies of your discharge document and other military and medical records by:
- Completing an online form from eVetRecs
- Completing Form SF-180 and mailing or faxing the request
- Contacting the Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs
- Contacting us
Other documents you may need to get started:
- Birth certificate
- Civilian medical records
- An identification card or proof of residency
- Marriage certificate
- Military medical records
- Military personnel file
